tyres Tyres

We all have different driving styles!

The type of tyre you use will largely be determined by the type of driving you do, but one common fact is that they play an important part in the safety of your vehicle.

In addition, because we all have different driving requirements, cost, grip, efficiency, and rating all become factors that need to be considered to make sure you get the RIGHT tyre for your needs.

Getting new tyres fitted is not the end though as they need to be maintained regularly throughout their life. Poorly maintained tyres wear out quickly, so you end up paying out your hard-earned cash more often.

tyres
Tyres are the only part of your car that touches the road.
That's why it's important to keep them in good condition.

Tips to make sure you get the most out of your tyres:

Keep tyres at the right pressure

Over or under inflated tyres can be dangerous and will accelerate uneven wear reducing the life of your tyre. You can do this easily yourself or we can help with it. Every 3 months (or sooner if you have concerns) bring your vehicle in and one of our techs will help you out.

Get your tyres rotated

Even with regular pressure checks, tyres may wear unevenly. To combat this, tyres should be rotated to keep them wearing at the normal rate.

As a general rule of thumb (and unless specified in your owner’s manual) you should be rotating your tyres every 10,000km’s.

Stay on the road

If your vehicle pulls to one side, feels odd to steer or has uneven tyre wear it can be an indication you need to have an alignment done. A tyre alignment is a quick and inexpensive process that will help to help keep you on the road.
